Hyacinthe R. @frenchyacinthe.rmb.lt · 18/08/2025That's how things should be. Transit shouldn't be free for all necessarily, but it sure should be free for anyone who can't afford it, because if one can't even afford public transit, what alternative transportation can they afford? 200
Hyacinthe R. @frenchyacinthe.rmb.lt · 14/08/2025Aggreed. 100$ for a bus ride from YHZ airport to Moncton once a day? The schedule worked ONCE for me. It was almost as expensive as renting a one-way car. Ridiculous. 010
Hyacinthe R. @frenchyacinthe.rmb.lt · 14/08/2025Currently it's not running at conventional speeds. But it easily could if only politicians wanted to actually improve regional mobility... go figure. 020
Hyacinthe R. @frenchyacinthe.rmb.lt · 14/08/2025There is no us case scenario where a pushing for a flight between Moncton and Halifax makes sense. Not for intercity travel, not for connecting to a long-haul flight, and certainly not for increasing regional mobility. This only thing this policy does : siphoning 10M of our money into PAL's pockets. 120
Hyacinthe R. @frenchyacinthe.rmb.lt · 14/08/2025The railroad literally connects already Moncton city centre, YQM and YHZ (pretty much, it wouldn't be too hard to add airport stations) and Halifax. A conventional train would take less than 2 hours, including stops in several towns and small cities on the way. It would cost much less than a flight. 210
NON. 110
