I awoke this morning. to the news that nine Filipino-Canadians were killed and many injured in Vancouver by a rampaging driver last night. It is horrifying. I want to extend my condolences to families and friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to all members of the Filipino community in Canada.

I'm calling for a Select Committee of the Legislature to hold public hearings on the options for restructuring NB Power. This can't be done in the backrooms, like when Shawn Graham sprung his decision to sell NB Power on New Brunswickers as a fait accompli. NBers have the right to be engaged.
