Things continue to update on the Hurricane. It has 140-150 mph winds but is now projected to drop 30 inches of rain on Hawai’i Island. If it keeps the current track Maul will take less of a hit, but it will still be at the very least, at still tropical storm strength.

One more update: the South Shore of Kauai does have resorts open and had some cleanup. So check ahead. All of Oahu and Kauais south shore are open but expect rain. We will be catching the outer bands.

Tonight’s news. Hurricane Nola is expected to hit Hawaii Island very hard. Maui County is also expecting major flooding and heavy rains. If you’re coming here, just know: Kauai is a mess and still recovering. Maui County and the Big Island are still recovering from the last one. This is worse.
