We're awaiting the full decision pending redactions by the parties, but it looks like ROSS lost their appeal of their case against Thomson Reuters. We and many others supported ROSS as amicus and are disappointed at this outcome: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The court’s ECF is forthcoming and will be free according to the judge so free pacer is possible. Next hearing will decide whether they can continue to detain the defendant (or respondent in this case) while proceedings continue. That hearing is not set but will likely happen sometime next week

PACER absolutely should be free. There’s no legitimate reason why members of the press and public should be charged for access to public records they themselves look up online.
