Croatia-Ghana: the Croatian architect Miro Marasović, due to close ties between Nkrumah and Tito, was chosen to design the modernist Nkrumah University campus in Kumasi. Eastern Bloc architects designed much "developing world" modernism, and here's a great read if you want more on that topic.
