Working on a little gatcha thing for the artist alley in next weeks card expo, these are going to be our mini pins+sticker, you can get one of eight different Magikarp colors or one of the two secret options.

Different colored Magikarps from Magikarp jump and two Ditto shaped lumps colored grey with a question mark on top.

I wouldn't even mind the double stacking even tho it's different from the previous ones, but the extra room is just ridiculous.

Finally got my Mycologist's Primer book and other goodies. Honestly the flash cards box will be tossed and I'll store the cards in something else since it's way too big for this amount of cards and too big for the cards in general, specially once you take the extra insert out.

We've been asked recently, so I want to be sure we're honest about our AI policy.

Screencap from Kickstarter comments:
The backer: "Before I fully commit to pledging, I wanted confirmation that AI was NOT used for this book or any previous book in the "Primer" series."
The Double Proficiency response: "Oh, I can 100% assure you that all illustrations have been drawn by my arthritic hands and I'd rather put the whole project (and myself) in a blender than use AI to write it. No AI, ever."

Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.

1. I see elsewhere on Bluesky that the discourse has turned toward telling writers not to be ashamed to admit they have day jobs or other sources of income (or spousal/family financial support), and you know what, that's 100% correct. Day jobs and support from loved ones are great if you have them!
