It's a fair question. I've been scrutinising my citation practices and trying to centre transfeminist authors and decentre cisness but haven't always done perfectly at this!

It’s good to see that mainstream UK papers are now, finally, after many years, covering esoteric hitlerist Nina Power and DC Miller’s connections to Ben Dilo. It is a shame, however, that this FT column does not go into detail about their egregious antisemitic and racist conspiracy thinking
A crypto billionaire who made a record-breaking £36mn donation to Nigel Farage's Reform UK financed a defamation case against an artist who claimed to have been the victim of an antisemitic harassment campaign.
Ben Delo loaned more than £300,000 to a former academic, Nina Power, which was secured against her home, to help her bring a joint libel suit against Luke Turner, a Jewish performance artist.
The case shines a spotlight on Delo's support for individuals and organisations whom critics accuse of having at times tested the boundaries of legitimate free speech.
Power and her fellow claimant lost their defamation case in 2023, and she was declared bankrupt. Afterwards, Delo enforced his rights over her London home as a way of recovering the money he had lent her.
That has meant that her other creditors cannot seek the sale of the home to recover other debts, unless Delo's security is deemed invalid in some way.
One of the creditors is Turner, the artist, who had originally sought the bankruptcy petition against her in order to reclaim his legal costs. The court had ordered Power and her co-claimant to pay him an initial £250,000, which they have not done.
Delo considers Power a friend, according to people close to him. The billionaire is in effect now the landlord of the bankrupt former academic, and receives monthly rent payments from her as a means of recovering the debt, according to people familiar with their financial arrangements. She remains the legal owner of the property.

This is just a cult at this point surely?
Orr and his wife Helen have made their £1.8 million riverside home outside Cambridge into what he has described on a podcast as “a compound” and what his wife, on her Substack, has described as “an alternative Cambridge College”, a monastic proto-college of which she is the “college mother”. Postgraduate students, chiefly from divinity, live in the outbuildings and adjacent flats owned by the family. They pay rent, do chores, and gather for Sunday lunch. The community has developed themed college scarf colours, a crest, a motto and printed rugby shirts.

I'm not sure it is all that clarifying, to be honest. These are pretty well-worn (and repeatedly debunked) 'gender critical' arguments by this point, and it's incredibly tedious to see people in Roland's replies acting like there is something 'nuanced', 'objective' or even new here!

It's junk science being used for transphobic purposes. The idea that most gender dysphoric children eventually 'desist' comes from research that included children who did not meet the diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria. And 'autogynephilia' is pure quackery - there was even one study showing

Lots to say about this quote from Phillipson but I think a key element is how cis people are understood as 'biological' and therefore as having material needs (services, spaces) where as trans people are an 'identity' and therefore only have cultural/recognitional needs ('not being pilloried').
“I don't want trans people to be constantly pilloried on social media for being who they are and wanting to live the lives that they want to lead.

“But also I want women to be able to access the services and service providers to be able to deliver the services that they believe are necessary on a single sex basis for women who have experienced male violence. I don't think those two things ought to be in conflict.”
