Canon cops, as loudly as they complain, lack the imagination and creativity necessary to break free from the anchors they've build for themselves. And if that gets them all up in their feelings, maybe they should just stew in them.

The thing that bugs me is how nobody in Trek fandom complaining about canon violations thinks, "what if the original telling of the story was wrong?" Historical accounts are written by humans, and humans get things wrong. Why can't Star Trek canon that we hold sacrosanct just be flat wrong?

I love anchovy on pizza. I once worked for a Chinese company -- the owners were very kind and supportive of their mostly American workforce, but didn't understand Western palates. They ordered pizza for an office party, and they ordered one with onions and anchovy. I tried it on a dare. I loved it.
