make sure to get lots of rest and keep taking cough meds! drink plenty of water, take fever reducers if you get one. idk what is available to you but if it's at all possible get the antiviral meds as well. wishing you a swift recovery. keep in mind that bed rest is super important even after covid.

Texas can't adequately warn people about deadly floods, but it can immediately let me know that a cop got hurt 250 miles away from me.

A "blue alert" from the state of Texas for an injury to a cop 250 miles away from where I live.

A lot of people are rightfully arguing that they need to stay on Twitter because their livelihoods depend on it, and that's understandable, but I also see that the majority of those who stay there are not making an effort to drive their audience elsewhere. ➡️ What you can do: 🧵1/5

🚨UPDATE: New evidence filed by the ACLU last night shows that the Trump administration is going forward with more Alien Enemies Act deportations in seeming violation of the Supreme Court's clear command that people be provided a "meaningful" opportunity to seek judicial review.

As detailed in the Brown Declaration, in the hours after this Court’s order on the TRO, Attorney Brown’s client, F.G.M., was approached by ICE officers, accused of being a member of Tren de Aragua, and told to sign papers in English. Exh. A (Brown Decl.) ¶ 3. F.G.M. understands only Spanish, and he refused to sign. ICE told him the papers “were coming from the President, and that he will be deported even if he did not sign it.” Id. Another Venezuelan man who is detained at Bluebonnet and speaks English then read the notice to Attorney Brown, and the notice tracks the language of the Alien Enemies Act: “In the notice, it classified F.G.M. as a TdA gang member” who “must be removed” from the United States. Id. F.G.M., like other men against whom the Alien Enemies Act has already been used, does not have a final order of removal and is therefore not removable under the immigration laws. See id. The notice was not provided to counsel by the government, not did the government inform Attorney Brown that her client was being designated under the AEA

This is evil and awful and trans people everywhere deserve better than what's happening right now. And I think it's impossible to overtstate the pivotal role that JK Rowling played in mainstreaming hateful and false ideas about trans people. Every dollar you give her goes toward efforts like this.

THE BERELYSE INSTITUTE OF CULTURAL ILLUMINATION PRESENTS: THE LAST LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER DIGITAL EXHIBITION OPENING APRIL 2025 #berelyse

A 2d illustration of 'The Last Lighthouse Keeper', which the text on the piece reflects. At the foreground is a young woman with a fierce expression holding a lantern. She wears a white shirt, black pants, and a blue cape with fishing line lining the inside. She has a black ponytail with blue lowlights.

To her left is a nervous-looking young woman with ombre blonde and lavender hair.. She wears black shoulderplates and gold armor over purple robes. A silver and yellow sword sits inside a scabbard on her waist. On her hand and hanging from her center stole is a sigil; the same one that glows in the center of the piece.

Going clockwise, the characters are as follows: a young girl with a short blonde ponytail seems to sing, her eyes closed in happiness. She wears a worn yellow dress with light blue accents. Next to her are two young boys holding hands: one in tattered brown clothing smiles and points off in the distance. His companion, in green and a brownish-red cape, looks on with a soft smile.

At the center behind the glowing sigil is a woman who winks at the viewer. The same sigil from the center of the piece glows on her cheek. Her hair spills out like smoke from under a green hood. She wears a short green dress.

An old man with dark skin and a gray beard looks away, his face obscured. He wears a gray robe and a large brown hat.

A young woman looks warily at the camera. She has light blue hair and wears a white cloak embroidered with pink berries over a pink dress.

A young man with fluffy brown hair in a thick red jacket smiles down at the young woman with the black hair in the foreground. His hands press against her back, seemingly pushing her along. His eyes, like the two women with the sigils, have an orange glow in them.

In the background there is a silhouetted lighthouse, which emits blue light across the piece. Two seagulls fly above. A small cabin sits at the other end. The silhouette of a man, glowing like embers, stands at the back of the piece.

When Bioshock Infinite came out in 2013 it was considered so significant because the protagonist was fully voiced and silent protagonists were so very common in gaming, especially first person shooters. Now 12 years later it's suddenly "we can't have silent characters it would ruin us, get the AI!"

Part 2! Hope you enjoy! "The Earth Is Slippery" is a common Aztec saying that essentially means that even good people can occasionally do bad things. Plus it's a double entendre, intended to allude to the idea that the stars merely slipped into the sky, rather than because of Coyote throwing them.

A black and white series of fanarts of Omniscient reader's viewpoint, each with something writter on it.
"When i was a child, i learned about the speed of light".
Under a black star there's young Han Sooyoung standing with a book in her hands. She is looking up at the star.

"I also learned that the stars looking down on me...".
Han Sooyoung is standing with her back to the viewr, her hand resting on a dotted line - theatre curtain's rope. The curtains resemble a dakr night sky, black with dots of white stars. Behind the closing curtains a white star is still visible.

"Might already be dead".
Same image, but the curtains close further, almost hiding the star behind them.

"Dead stars haunted me".
Han Sooyoung is standing over a map of the sky with tense, desperate expression. Several stars visible on that map are crossed out - dead - with only one remaining untouched.

"How could i trust the sky if it felt like a graveyard"
The dark starry curtain is falling down, occupying the most of the page. Han Sooyoung is cowering, as if in fear, and it seems like she's at the bottom of a freshly dug grave, someone above already filling it with earth.

"What if the guiding light was dead star's last will?".
Han Sooyoung's single terrified eye visible through her fingers, watching a lonely star under it.

"Many years have passed...".
On a lighter background, Han Sooyoung's legs are visible, as is a white coat.

"And from one dead star to another..."
A close up of Han Sooyoung's face. She is older now, her face tired, dejected. White lapes hide her mouth, but her eyes are expressive enough, not hiding her tired pain.

"Following their last will...".
A shot from behind Han Sooyoung, showing what she is looking at. It's an old pc, its light illuminating the wall and the person in front of it. Nothing but their hands - one on the mouse and the other connected to an IV drop - is visible, yet their shadow on the wall has familiar horns. Food steps surround the light on the wall, as if circling around, never too close.

"...is not so bad".
A giant curtain on which Han Sooyoung is drawing out white footsteps, holding onto it with her free hand. Behind that curtain is a black sky with a single white star.
