This was so much harder than I thought it would be. How do you pick 9 games that have shaped your life? Is that the criteria? Or are they 9 games that mean the most to you? Or 9 desert island games? I decided 9 games that shaped me. Each and every one has added an element to my life.

A collage of 9 games in a 3 x 3 grid. The games moving from left to right are StarCraft, Final Fantasy VIII, Celeste, Tunic, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, Majora's Mask, Gris, Metal Gear Solid, and Ace Combat 4

Checking out the whole album is worth your time. But...Tom Hardy recites the "winter of our discontent" monologue from Richard III in the Bane voice.

This is going to sound completely wild. I think swaddling myself in satin every night is helping me somehow. Satin comforter, satin blanket, satin pillow cover. It sets of some kind of tactile euphoria in my brain, and even when I can't sleep, just feeling it against my skin is everything.

Found some purple flowers and immediately knew @craniatology.bsky.social needed to see them.

Some purple flowers growing in a median alongside bushes. I have no clue what kind they are, plants are not my strong suit.

More purple flowers. In a different median, and the flowers are different too. I feel like I should know these...

So, I rarely ever post. I didnt think it would get here so quick! IM SO EXCITED Not pictured is the inside of the hoodie, which also has stars. I was hoping it would get here during this little cold spell, you know I'm going to wear it no matter how warm it is. @minodev.bsky.social Thank you!

A photo of a Rabbit & Steel hoodie, an Assassin bunny plush, the bag she came in, and a just barely visible assassin bunny sticker on a blue satin comforter.

An assassin bunny from Rabbit & Steel with her sticker, propped up on a white desk, surrounded by various other memorabilia.

Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

I say this with zero irony: if you are even tangentially a part of a retro video game community, it is your civic duty to push back against this company and shun anyone who doesn't. This is fascism tapping gently at the door and as soon as you let it in, it's going to invite its friends.

I just...I need to know why Bluesky thinks I want to see core content on my timeline. Or inflation. Or diaper stuff. Not shaming anyone, but it is absolutely not for me and I don't want it. Evidently, muting the words isn't enough.

Restarted my diet today. Got a ton of high fiber foods, reducing my carb ibtake (not eliminating it), going to try really hard to not drink my calories. Bam, woke up with a migraine that only let me work about 5 hours today. Dinner is now hash browns and chicken patties. :/

So it's crazy dry at my place already. And I want to add some greenery to my room. Any suggestions on plants that aren't crazy high maintenance, but might help add a little humidity to my room?

A thread of things I’ve learned now that I’m 50. 1: You should never lay out in the sun or in a tanning bed to work on your tan. Looking like a raisin at 40 will matter more than you think. And also think of your poor dermatologist who has to take pictures every year of all of those moles.

Can I ask a serious question? Don't come for me in the comments, I legitimately would appreciate an explanation. Let's say they release the Epstein Files. And Trump is all over them, as we well know. What will change? He's gotten away with 34 felony counts, we know he's a pedo. I don't understand.

Been fighting a cold for about a week, one of those annoying ones that doesnt ever really fully hit, just one symptom then the next. Was gifted a congested head two nights ago, and to retaliate I ate a lot of homemade buffalo sauce. Been up for an hour with heartburn like I haven't had in months.

Laying in bed, trying so carefully not to over think. But theres that layer just above your subconscious. You know it's there, and it does what it wants, thinks what it wants. Next thing you know, your heart is racing and you are scrambling for the only thing that calms your anxiety attacks.

“Just” friends, as if friendship could ever be just anything. As if it doesn’t run soul deep, carved into bone like initials on a tree. As if it doesn’t have the power to save you or bring you down to your knees.

Its now, in the early hours of the morning, when I am at my loneliest. Laying in bed for hours doesnt let me sleep. All the people I love are quiet. I have nothing but my own thoughts, and they are crueler to me than anyone has ever been.

I was planning on going for a hike in the woods. Its been cold, foggy, and rainy all week. Forecast was calling for the same today. Wake up this morning to sunshine, and a ton of work in my email. I just want to walk through the woods, touch the maples, sit with the ferns; all with a steady rain.

I've noticed a funny thing. The media that I love the most, that I hold dear, is the media I consume the least. I wont watch a movie, I'll skip a song on a playlist. I think it's because I'm afraid it might disappoint me, or it wont hit as hard.

I dunno. I finally told some people about what is going on with me, and I feel like its too little too late. Its really my own fault. I love them for who they are, and if not being present makes their life better, then I want them to protect that peace.

In the darkest parts of the night, I think about leaving. Spending money I don't have to fill the tank of a car that isn't mine, and drive somewhere I've never seen before. Do something with the monotony that has become my life, go on even a small adventure.
