I guess my feelings were common among some of the older PS fans. Its probably simlar to how I felt it when my classmates didn't even know doom when I was killing time playing it on the school computers.

Additionally though I have not watched the full 2 hours, it seems like it comes from a place where you do have a vested interest in this old series. I personally havent played all the the entries myself and I grew up with the first one and pure.

Its been certainly a bit of a trend in recent times to do titles like that. There is definitely a bit of a visceral reaction from me thinking "is wipeout considered a hidden gem today?" It can give a feeling of "the young have forgotten our culture" as the game wasnt obscure in its day.

I take issue with this Title/Thumbnail. There were Wipeout games on 6 different Playstation systems. I feel like making such claims about Wipeout is like doing the same about Twisted Metal both games were staples of PS system's libraries at some point.

It had something to do with holding a button when the demo starts, its a glitch. If you beat said level you will be in the warp room with 20 crystals and all power ups.

Eddy presents a problem for a lot of casual players because pressing X and O in gives you a lot of random mid and low moves. He's quite possibly the worst example of being able to mash and win. Past a novice level that's not gonna work for very long.

Video games generally just have a ton of suspension of disblief, they often run on cartoon/anime logic where people don't get seriously injured from a sword fight or can keep fighting after getting a sword through the torso.

I can see smoothing how some frame dips but I dont need to play something like twisted metal in 60 fps. Also sometimes games slowdown because of performance issues and that should usually stay the case, it is a mechanic.

Shaped me as a person? No. My tastes in games. Yes. Personally I do think games have the power to impact a person in a way that does something for them in a positive light. Video games are still art and have the potential to inspire people and I think that's fine.

I tried to run Borderlands 4 on my PC last night and it ran pretty bad. Refunded it since I didn't have any interest in going back to the old days of running games I could barely run. I have a solid mid-range pc too. After admitting defeat I am returning to my playthrough of BL1 on PS4.
