wow how did I only just now learn about Multires in Blender. I thought sculpting felt like shit because I was setting up my meshes wrong, turns out I just didn't know about the thing that made the tools actually work.

(This is probably true of most artists) My drawings only look good at 20% detail or 100% detail, and although the prudent thing is to make the 20% version look better—or atleast draw the 100% version faster—I've actually gone ahead and made my 100% even more time-consuming

WIP I wanted to do a composition with the airship but I couldn't export it out of the game, so I went to ask the Meddle discord and it turns out there's an invalid texture on the ship. The dev said they'll push a fix for me and I feel bad because I already started on a composition without it...

Is there a way to select only the visible pixels on a layer in Photoshop? I don't mean just Ctrl clicking on the layer thumbnail to select the alpha channel… I want to select every pixel on the layer that isn't being obscured by something on the layers above it.

WIP been slowly grinding away at this piece. I'm planning to spend more time exploring post processing effects like glows and blurs instead of just relying on brushes, I think the lack of experimentation on recent pieces might be what's sapping my motivation.

Curious what the updated combat in Witcher 3 feels like. I did multiple playthroughs of the first 2 games but bounced off 3 so hard because just traversing the world or hitting anything with a sword felt awful to me. I felt like a crazy person because everyone else praised it non-stop.
