This thread makes great points that I overall agree with. And, how do we do this without relying on ableist methods? Making sure everyone knows about their "unsettling, antisocial behavior" is important. Yet using "weird" and "nuts" to other any group of people is a very master's tools dilemma.

Short answer is B. Long answer is that I try to do my best to make sure that's done consensually, in that I usually warn them that my spouse is a typical exception and ask if they're OK with that. This is more important when they know Ana or I expect they'll meet her someday.

I.... vaguely recall getting this summons a few weeks ago while in the midst of SSRI withdrawal? I similarly vaguely recall thinking I'd have to request recusal due to class time conflicts. But it didn't even make it in my pile of important paperwork to deal with when I felt human again. 🤦
