Montana’s wildlife policies should follow the science, even when the science challenges a familiar narrative. Read the article: madison.com/news/state-r...

What Costs More: Better Science—or Getting It Wrong? FWP says better wolf monitoring costs too much. But cutting corners on science has costs too—especially if continued killing pushes wolves toward federal relisting. Invest in better data now, before poor decisions become far more expensive.

Ban Wildlife Killing Contests Everywhere. @bankillcontests.bsky.social · 31/07/2026
Montana wants to kill 30% of their wolves. Montana FWP’s own forecast shows killing at this level could push wolves below the state's legal minimum within 3 years. Comments are due Aug. 12; the vote is Aug. 19. Tell Montana to reject the quota. app.sosha.ai/s/NHe0sQuL

Photos like this remind us that wolves are sentient animals who form deep social bonds with their families. They experience joy, connection, and loss and deserve our compassion and protection.❤️

A much-needed win for lobos 🎊 AZ Gov Katie Hobbs vetoed SB 1280, which would have blocked the state's ability to transport Mexican wolf pups into the state + would have prevented public resources from being used to support these efforts.

Less than 10% of North America’s beavers remain, and with them went the wetlands, water storage, and natural resilience they once built across the landscape. Their dams slow water, restore floodplains, and even create natural fire breaks in a warming, drying West. #internationalbeaverday

As the climate warms… can wildlife keep up? Across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, rising temperatures are already reshaping how wolves, elk, and bison survive. But here is the truth: wildlife can adapt if we give them the space to do so.
