For this #caturday I have for your viewing pleasure Nesta, my old man. It's been 14 years since this guy stole my heart. He came to the clinic from a local shelter for emergency surgery. My friend put him in my arms while I was in the lab. He reached up to pet my cheek. I was done. #alttext

A wooden elevated garden sits on a pea gravel yard. Dune grass bunches pop up like little green soldiers standing sentry along a white fence in the background. A lush green strawberry patch bedazzled with fuchsia flowers in the raised garden takes center stage. Hidden among the jade green leaves are glistening red strawberries, ripe for the taking. You can taste the sweetness of the first bite, the tartness at the end that makes it feel as if your cheeks are about to meet within your mouth. But wait, what's that? A cat hair?! The symmetrical white blaze on her nose extends to the exact middle of her forehead. Your annoyance at the cat hair(s) in your mouth disappears like a distant memory when you realize (again) how goddamn cute she is with her over sized got pink flower bow that is always just the right amount askew to be cute and the little black spot on her nose that looks like God decided to give her a black nose at the last minute, but it was too late so she used a sharpie.
