#TPRNo6 #Ultracycling #MaxAgut www.instagram.com/p/DecblWfDO-0

My younger kid has realized that school is at least in part, a prison where kids are kept so parents can be farmed by capitalists, and that the grading, testing, major, and degree system serves to normalize and perpetuate hierarchies of importance among people. Also that many people have no […]

Main issue is the mandatory subscription that has gotten quite pricy. But apparently, these devices can also be registered with other companies or at least through other companies. Namely, protegear seems to have a much cheaper offering, that includes all the Garmin services, and then some […]

My first research attempt led me to the Garmin inReach Messenger as a device with great battery life (28 days with checkins every 10 minutes). It's not the newest device, but seems to chwck all the boxes for a device that lasts long enough to send an emergency nessage on a long off-grid trip.

Does anyone from the #hiking or #outdoor community have any experience with satellite emergency devices like the Garmin inReach Messenger or similar devices?

Hey European tooters! Is there a reliable Dropbox-like company that will provide cloud storage on European servers? With Trump potentially criminalizing the study and teaching of slavery, it might be a good idea to offshore my resources, drafts, research notes, etc.
