Quick calculation by my collegue Houssein Guimbard at @cepii-paris.bsky.social : average US tariffs are larger today than they were yesterday (=increase on China more than compensate decreases on other countries). For other countries tariff levels remain high (25% auto/steel/alu still implemented).

Trump's trade war could cost 0.5% of global GDP (1.3% for the US and China). This reminds the IPCC SR15 report, in which additional energy-related investments to reach the 1.5°C climate were said to be an annual average of $830 billion - about 0.83% of current global GDP. It's a matter of choice
