Jerry would have to come back from the dead w/ that somehow being the only venue he played for me to consider going back I wasn't a club guy, but I could see how that place was cool as Sound Factory, but as a concert venue it's the worst

I'll 2nd the Sept 70 Fillmore rec. While listening to 10/11/70 earlier I noticed that the St. Stephen peak must be the same chord as NFA, b/c on this night they blow the peak & instead of trying to get it back, they abandon it altogether for an easy transition into NFA (1 of the 1st NFA>GDTRFB>NFA)

I don't doubt it'll be a fun trip, & it'll probably be in 2 yrs for us. At this point we're mostly waiting on my younger son to grow a little more so he can go on more of the rides. They've outgrown the little kid stuff, so we want to make sure we can get on everything when we get there

I've avoided it so far as my kids have never been Disney obsessed, but they are asking to go. Coming from NY I've been told it's a $10-12K wk family trip. Now it's probably $12-14, or more, & for that amount I'd rather go anywhere else than an overcrowded theme park

I definitely didn't realize it at the time, but I watched a short documentary (maybe on ESPN) a few yrs ago about what happened & was blown away by how his career ended & death. They showed press clips from after games where he was clearly high on opiates to anyone who knows the signs

I thought they almost redeemed themselves w/ the whisperer wars & how it got then back to horror after dropping the bag (to put it nicely) on the Negan/Saviors conflict, & Rick/Michonne departures. I stuck through to the end, but the final two seasons were rough

My in-laws are still quite Catholic. In late Oct 2016, Bishop Murphy here on L.I. forced every priest to read a letter of his to their parishioners at church basically saying that you had to vote for the anti-abortion candidate (Trump) for your religion. While this is a welcome turnaround...

Impressive feat for a guy who was probably addicted to Oxy's by then. As a Yankees fan, I hated him, but only because he was so fucking good & crushed them every time while on the Jays. Had he been a Yankee, he'd be an all time favorite. He was an incredible pitcher

I was too young to know the details of Jim Baker's "sex scandal." I guess I thought he did the usual Christian thing of cheating on his wife while preaching morality, but it turns out he drugged & raped Jessica Hahn in 1980 w/ another televangelist. Rape is a "scandal" to news headline writers

Few things have come close to scaring me this much since. Common story w / lots of 80's kids, but I was 5 or 6 at the most, the first time I saw Jaws, & hey it's rated PG, so why not?
