I think it was during the Dead's '91 MSG run that Dr. Oliver Sacks' patient, Henry Sawyer, was taken to a Dead show by his dad. It was written about by Dr. Sacks in "The Last Hippie," which was then made into the movie "The Music Never Stopped" Interesting story if you're unfamiliar with it
