Highly recommended read! I have so many quotes highlighted that I plan to use in our workshops on the importance of a good search strategy.

This is of course about the spam e-mails I now also receive from predatory publishers. At least it's giving me many new fun examples for my talks on predatory practices.

I co-authored my first paper as a #medlib about a month ago, and am proud to tell you I have since become both a Dr. and a Prof., and am an outstanding expert in computational governance, oncology therapy, and many more scientific fields!

One of my most often used resource is probably the LSSR site. The Library of Search Strategy Resources (LSSR) connects researchers and #medlibs with tools and resources for developing health science searches. Find free search filters, tools, guides, and more: sites.google.com/view/searchr...

If you want to laugh you should try searching for <"Elephants"[MeSH] AND "room"[Title]> or <"Daucus carota"[MeSH] AND "stick"[Title]> , I found some great exampels of how automated indexing messes up sometimes this way!

I'm not familiar with this tool but it sounds like it might be similar to litsearchR which is still available as a shiny app elizagrames.shinyapps.io/litsearchr/

Adding it to my TBR pile, while simultaneously hoping this preprint isn't part of the 10.2% of preprints with major revisions (as calculated by said preprint)😜

another day spent dreaming of a far away future where embase will finally implement an "update all lines" button for their search history page... #medlibs

big fan of how when I scroll through some pages of results on #scopus the search history shows each page as a separate search so it immediately becomes a hassle to go back to a previous search query (please note this message is heavy with sarcasm)

That's like saying my pharmacy prescription was completely correct with minor errors (e.g. added 0's to dosage amount). Oops, I took 100 mg instead of 1 mg, but it was just a minor error!😜

Super excited & proud to share my very first #medlib co-authorship that just got published! Take special notice of how it states the review was reported, not conducted, according to PRISMA 😉 doi.org/10.1136/bmjh...

Once again getting sidetracked as I was looking for interesting papers on neurodiversity in the workplace, when I stumbled on the fact there is a whole niche field out there about neurodivergent librarians and #medlibs

I’ve officially resigned as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Systems Neuroscience. It used to be a reputable journal, but became a case study in how forced automation destroys academic integrity. 👇

I'm already falling behind on posting about all the interesting things I am learning at #eahil2026 but I'll try to recap eventually! Some talks have been so fun I struggle to summarize it in just a few words

His worries around AI are about bias and believable but false information. Dr. Baran mitigates this by always keeping a human in the loop and not treat AI as a replacement but support #eahil2026

“Did you consult a #medlib when using AI in your field?” A good thing Dr Baran answered yes, or there would have been an uproar in the #eahil2026 room 😅

I like that the new #Embase results page has put all quick limits under one heading, but why did they just completely remove the (general) review limit? What if I want more than just sysrevs? #medlibs

I sometimes find useful sources in the Cochrane Appendix. You might also find some more websites by using Google with site:.gov to specifically look for American government websites (similarly .gov.uk for British ones) www.cochrane.org/authors/hand...
