the book Wake Up! by r. merey. it’s a largely go-based noir thriller and character study. highly recommended, won’t take you more than a day to read

I looked closer and a head did rise from the water, but I’d been mistaken. It wasn’t a woman, it was a gray seal! I got a reasonably good look at her, but didn’t think to take a photo until she was swimming away.

collage is a great way to make visual art if you enjoy remixing extant materials and don't have the ability to create elaborate drawings quickly/on a regular basis (or at all). one of the most fun parts is compiling collage materials yourself. you get to pick what goes in and where it goes.

received my contributor copy of Under a Malevolent Eye! What I love about this surveillance-themed collection is that, while all of the stories are in some sense topical and political, they use very different SFF/H ideas and approaches.
