Finished the Apothecary! (Yes, I took the picture before finishing the pistol) #warhammer40k

I really don't care that the armor isn't appropriate for the bronze age, I just want to see a modern adaption if the odyssey. And it's Nolan doing it?! I hope it'll be in real time, 10 years, nothing less!

“Do not bend your neck for that which cuts necks.” A Sumerian proverb, as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.

Photo of a fragment of a clay tablet shaped a bit like a diamond. Although it is only a fragment, the cuneiform text on it is well-preserved. There is a vertical line down the centre which indicates it once had at least two columns. The colour is reddish brown

Today I was able to meet one of the prosecutors who, together with Fritz Bauer, conducted the first #Auschwitz trial in Frankfurt from 1963 to 1965. It was a huge honor to hear Gerhard Wiese talk about his life as a German soldier, his Russian captivity and the trial! #NeverForget

Actual pro tip: the best way to break into any creative profession is by helping to support and advance other creators. Your peers are not your adversaries. They are your support group.

The Retro Computer Museum has been hit with flooding this past weekend, with the building and unfortunately many items damaged and needing replacing. If you care about games preservation, you can help out by donating here ❤️ www.peoplesfundraising.com/donation/ret...

#FrescoFriday Hera and Zeus decide to make a go of things with a wedding. Let’s not ruin the magic of their special day by telling them just how things are going to turn out! 📍House of the Tragic Poet, Pompeii 🏛️MAN Napoli #AncientBluesky🏺

This fresco depicts the sacred wedding of Hera and Zeus. Hera is attended by the goddess Iris, who appears her winged but seems to be wondering whether this marriage is a good idea. Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Napoli (inv. 9559). Photo credit: Stephen Chappell.

"To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed...The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish…"

Used the Winter break to finally play #AlanWake2 and I'm blown away by how good it is! A true masterpiece! Now I need more Mystery and Thrillers that scratch that itch just as good. Any recommendations? No matter if series, movies, games or books!

As @synaktis.bsky.social is a little chicken, I need someone to go see Nosferatu with me. Any volunteers?

If bookshops were always as crowded as they are before Christmas, the world would be a better place. (It's hell in there right now.)

#ReliefWednesday Io Saturnalia! It’s that time of year, folks! This relief is of uncertain origin with dates ranging from C1st to the C16th CE (for what it’s worth, the latter date seems more likely…). It is thought to depict a veiled ‘Throne of Saturn’. #AncientBluesky🏺

Relief of the so-called "Throne of Saturn". Four Erotes cavort around a throne covered by fabric. An orb can be seen below the throne (the earth?). The background are low relief of a colonnade. From Venice held at the Louvre.
