I think I still have yet to defeat Ganon in that one. I was trying to finish all the sidequests first but kept finding more. And then I had to go find all the fun armors everywhere. I do greatly love games where I can side quest forever without consequences though. 10/10 adhd brain experience.

Last year I figured out my school gave us unlimited amounts of 30 TB google drives. So I put a ton of copies of a vx-underground zip folder I haven’t been able to open. “Activity: {School sysadmin name} added a member to the shared drive. {person’s name} as manager” … oop

Reading public manuals shouldn’t give free fire truck wifi access. I’m 90% sure that the manual was up to date enough for even the new trucks. So if anyone wants to test something…

The company literally has a page for all the recent orders and the job numbers. The wifi password is T{job numbers} and gives access to a bunch of internals. And I was worried about making the truck secure… T.T

At career fair there was a cybersecurity guy for the company sponsoring my group. Seemed like that was important for the company. Which part of the default wifi password for a fire truck being the (very public) job number sounds secure??

Sometimes estate sales. Of the two I have, one was in perfect condition aside from a moldy case, and the other just needs a bit of work, the keys on one side are sticky. And even if it’s not perfect, the two cost me a total of 23$, so getting them serviced *might* be cheaper than a repaired one.

A few of your photos have had the cases- do you usually find typewriters with the cases or is there somewhere you can find them? I have a beautiful 1940’s Smith Corona typewriter, but the case was too moldy and got tossed. I’d really like a case for it but not sure where to find one that works.

Going a day without ADHD meds is horrible. On the upside, the relief the next day when it kicks in is wonderful. I would absolutely having failed out of college if evey day was like yesterday. 18 credits plus an enterprise (5+ hours a week) with all the hard classes is painful even on normal days.

I had originally thought it was a hardware issue but it just became severe after a driver update or unknown software bug (happened around the same time, not sure if either was the cause). The drivers have been updated, nothing shows as having errors, and rebooting many times has not fixed it.

@swiftonsecurity.com Wondering if you’ve encountered this: The click and drag function on a laptop touchpad stops working. All other parts appear fine, right click, middle click, etc. It can be temporarily resolved by quitting a bunch of tasks in task manager, but by the next day is broken again.

Now that it’s in the 50’s to low 60’s this whole week I wanted to see if we could get heat, because my room has no insulation. I really miss my home‘s thermostat that was nice and simple. The one upside is that since it‘s steam here my room wont be too dry.

I’m so glad I’m nowhere near owning a house right now. I’m just now realizing that I have a steam radiator, not a hot water one. And guess who places their plywood desk half a foot away from the steam vent? There’s a much bigger learning curve to apartments than I was expecting…

My currently non-realistic idea is that if learn what the chips do and learn some of the right assembly/something then I can make it do stuff (though I’m just learning of chip security stuff to prevent that so…). There also might be easier/different paths depending on what area you want to focus on.

So I’m attempting to go down a similar path (though through college) and so far I’ve figured out I thought it would be way easier than it is. The conclusion I‘ve come to is to learn how to make/build some of the hardware stuff and work on getting an understanding of all the parts and structures.

I was looking forward to most of my classes this semester. And I knew to expect some dumb AI stuff with it. I was not expecting to have an entire class of “let’s use AI to answer these questions and see how the response are different”. Also the same professor who was annoyed his kids hated AI.

One of the unfortunate things I‘ve discovered as a trans guy, there is a stark difference between when I pass as a guy or not. Not that I speak any louder or am more confident, somehow people just magically start to hear me and listen to what I’m saying. It’s so frustrating.
