My Metros couldn't keep their converters in place so I got frustrated with them too. The similarly priced Pilot Explorer works great though. And I adore my gold nib Pilots. I like my Sailors too, but specifically for finer work. I've used mechanic pencils for 48 years so expect feedback then.
