Timestamp labels just got a (minor) upgrade #godl, my Godot version manager! They now show a more precise time, up to two parts, if the inaccuracy after showing one is over a day.

godl's Qt Widgets rewrite is progressing well. Honestly, I think the new UI looks even better with denser, more consistent spacing, real modal dialogs, and consistent widget use.

One hour into @tsoding.bsky.social's Godot stream and I see this beautiful code

    if event.is_pressed():
        if event.as_text() == "A":
            moving = true

React in #godot now has object ID-based movement! Previously, it would diff the virtual trees on attributes alone. The colored squares get a random color each time they are instantiated, so the color "stay behind" despite the cells appearing to move.

Playing around with a #Kotlin -based animation framework written in Kotlin with a Compose Desktop-based renderer, inspired by aarthificial's Motion Canvas. This animation is written in exactly 50 LoC! Currently there's no way to use it as a standalone framework, but I will do that soon™

@duckduckgo.com changes the duck to have a Kotlin hat when you search for Kotlin, but it doesn't change into Duke when you search for Java. I think we all know what this means

I've reworked how colors in sunfish work to be more accessible! While you can still access the old color picker, it's preferred to use the default swatch colors as they are automatically updated along with the theme: #godot

I think it's useless to try and evaluate the order of a function where the parameter doesn't have a strict static type, because whatever order of function you have, you can always make it have an order one higher. So basically,

I can't believe HTML5 retconned the <i> tag
Excerpt from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markup_language: In contrast, the i tag in HTML 4 is an example of presentational markup, which is generally used to specify a characteristic of the text without specifying the reason for that appearance. In this case, the i element dictates the use of an italic typeface. However, in HTML 5, this element has been repurposed with a more semantic usage: to denote "a span of text in an alternate voice or mood, or otherwise offset from the normal prose in a manner indicating a different quality of text".
