I finally looked up the source of my little fish-in-a-hat avatar. I knew it was a short-lived Sun-Times mascot in response to Mike Royko leaving after Rupert Murdoch bought the paper because "no self-respecting fish would be wrapped in a Murdoch paper" but I didn't know it was the April 1 issue.
