That Ekornes reclining chair in the corner is one I inherited as a MA student around 2000 when one of my office mates finished her thesis. It was old even back then. I still have it in my office, having dragged it from Trondheim to Umeå and now to Stavanger. Really comfy.

Over the summer, the new Greenhouse #envhum Library space has taken shape. Today we found some really nice solid wood tables in the building’s bomb shelter! We salvaged them so that we can have our Thursday lunches here from now on.
Room with meeting room table, shelves of book on the back. Nice and bright. Books by Greenhouse people (current and former) on displayShelves of books, window looking out on a path and the botanical gardens.

It can be a bit of a rabbithole, but I tend to enjoy that. I also recently brought my tiny 2016 Macbook Pro out of retirement by installing Linux on it and having it boot straight into a text-only writing app. No desktop UI, no frills, no distractions. More of a fun experiment, but I like it.

Just walked the dog and was wondering why I didn't see a single person. And there's hardly any cars on the road. It's like we're back in the early covid lockdown days. I was confused until I opened the newspaper and saw the overpaid people are kicking a ball around again. Ah.
