F|S @findingshadows.com · 08/12/2024This is over close to Lot 10 in Bukit Bintang if I remember, have to see if I have a pic to match. I usually stay in Mont Kiara but ramen place over there I go to ever so often. 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 07/12/2024I have had this discussion several times. I am here to read and learn from people, that could be daily events. If I want to know world news I check a journalist or news. I have no desire to begin a cycle of information dump of mostly 95% irrelevant info, people are just used to the “drug” of it. 021
F|S @findingshadows.com · 04/12/2024I will eagerly be awaiting it’s Netflix release to put on for background noise next year. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 04/12/2024For those that know me Kuala Lumpur is my favorite place to be in the world. The people the mix of culture and the food there is no better place. While this is a good photo I like to show it as while not perfect this is on an iPhone and edited as such. Emphasizing use what you have in your hand. 070
F|S @findingshadows.com · 03/12/2024That’s what I’m hoping for, because any light on that late should have a story ! 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 03/12/2024There is an exercise I want to try one night I haven’t done yet. The thought was to go late on a workday 1-3am find buildings that had lights on and you had to create a one sentence narrative told by the photo. Something about the stillness at night that can lean so many ways with architecture. 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 03/12/2024Thank you so much , had not considered that but now that you mention it some similarities. Trying to go with the gut more vs pre planning architecture to get some more creativity going lately. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 02/12/2024@joeltjintjelaar.bsky.social I think the story on the process you took with this is one that more artist should hear one day. I always find it awesome watching your"technical" steps. The mental process here is one I think a lot of us don't realize is shared in how long it's in our heads sometimes. 120
F|S @findingshadows.com · 02/12/2024Fantastic shot here, this has just the perfect separation of dark and light to give it depth and feeling. Reminds me a LOT of this shot Fan Ho did called Afternoon Chat that I admire quite often. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 02/12/2024I have a motto I stated a long time ago I stick with thats simple, "Never Stop Creating". Inspiration by vision, words or care impact those you may have never known were looking. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 02/12/2024This photo is one of two that got me started on understanding the beauty of fine art black and white and what It can be. Great to see you here and cant wait to see what you can continue to inspire us. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 02/12/2024@juanngospodarou.bsky.social thank you, however you are not allowed to like this photo until you know that you and @joeltjintjelaar.bsky.social both where who I mentioned when it got honorable mention on this photo this year and who continue to inspire me. 220
F|S @findingshadows.com · 01/12/2024I have to agree, nothing against video at all but it's shifted to short form disposable content unfortunatly. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 30/11/2024It’s so funny that’s how I have felt , I did walk out to go grab some coffee at rival today but frankly just enjoying the downtime. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024This strikes me of the complexity an intracacy of the world behind still to be reflected by the loneliness during this time. Just my feelings when I see this. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024I need more of this , inspiration comes from the strangest places for me and it’s usually in a medium or style I can only admire but not interested in…initially. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024I have seen more exceptional photos with meaning and feeling in the short time on here than my entire length of time on IG. The algorithm there just pushes tack sharp, no character preset images 90% of the time of the same “most traveled list” it seems. 180
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024If they can keep the theme of the movie without shifting too much to the Netflix algorithms of shows it’s looks good. It is ironic how many topics of this nature we keep discussing , but then you question is this part of disinformation or education…or can be like me and it’s all just entertainment. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024This is on my list next time I’m over in Europe , such a fantastic building by her. I’m going through the book Taschen put out of her complete work on the coffee table now. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024First like a glove , kinda….I love these kind of photo hacks. Is it 1.33x , can’t tell if the sign is a little wide or aspect. I saw a video the other day where they took a mobile anamorphic and attatched it to that 28mm “chip” lens that viltrox kickstarted. 000
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024It’s a choice , don’t thrive on other people’s noise daily. If I go to a library I don’t want to check out everything at once , I want to review what I’m there for and move on to the next. If I want world headlines I’ll check the feed of a journalist or news outlet , even ones I don’t align with. 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 29/11/2024I think you are in the minority here, why do I care whats trending with people I have no interest in or follow. The point is to bring back being social, not hoping on trends that have zero to do with what I care to see. 110

F|S @findingshadows.com · 28/11/2024Have to say you are slowly becoming someone’s photos I look forward to. Between framing and color choice really admire your eye. 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 28/11/2024check @flakphoto.news he has a good set of solid set starter packs photography and art 020
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Beautifully done, and even more compliments to the chef on it then! 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Was this film? As much as a die hard b&w lover I am the to Matts point the color and shadows here are fantastically done. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Appreciate that, will check them out when I get a chance. I am in the same boat, I fear another addition to this hobby that will just increase spending more! 000
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024It is earned, not given, believe me...there are photos you like and then there are people who have earned it. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024@flakphoto.news make sure and get @joeltjintjelaar.bsky.social added to some of your photographer packs , this guy is one of if not the best Fine Art B&W guy out there we need to get him a bigger audience! 140
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024And yet even in 2014 you managed to capture light and shadow with a phone...proof a good camera is always the one you have with you! 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Not too far off on core thoughts, a combination of the initial "customer" of a platform and then if the larger voices shape it toward a certain direction. At some point the nature of the platform and its user base start to shape that direction, lets hope real interaction vs statistical wins here. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Abstracting any political tone, one of the reasons I am here, you think it's because of engagement within bluesky by nature of the platform or the audience leaning that direction? 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024@larrytron.bsky.social who is the go to for film processing around here. I am strongly debating pulling some old analog cameras out of storage. May just bite the bullet and join Halide and finally figure out how to develop my own 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024This is what happens when you associate "professional" with "elitist" , I will forever be an amateur for that simple reason. Id rather have 1000 people hate an image I put my heart into, than 1 love it because it checks the boxes on some list of made up rules. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024Love the symmetry and balance in this, and in general your shots. Brings a sense of calm , even in some of chaos that may exist in them. 100
F|S @findingshadows.com · 27/11/2024This is fantastically done, hopefully you realize this comment as a huge compliment. This strikes me if Brogan and Francavilla teamed up and the output of both their minds came out in this. 120
F|S @findingshadows.com · 26/11/2024I have a hard time explaining why I like this and that’s a fantastic thing. It’s the mystery , but it’s also the interaction in your style that is visually something beneath . I get a bit of the same feel I get from titarenko’s city of shadows. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 25/11/2024If there are three images I have that signify Kadikoy and Istanbul as a whole it's these. Watch the documentary Kedi if you want to see just how integrated cats are into this entire city from the restaurants, streets and people. 000
F|S @findingshadows.com · 25/11/2024For anyone who may not know Joel is one of the most influential modern Fine Art Black and White photographers today. His work and techniques have shaped a whole genre of photography so welcome him here. 130
F|S @findingshadows.com · 25/11/2024This means a LOT to me, whats ironic is this is and the peaked one are older shots however are the first ones I started taking your advice on drawing direction of light on the image before working on masking 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 25/11/2024@joeltjintjelaar.bsky.social very happy to see you over here, long time admirer and you have STRONGLY influenced not just my photos and process but also perspective on art in general so this is much appreciated. 110
F|S @findingshadows.com · 25/11/2024Pretty sure I heard EPX scream in unison a few back , that would explain it ! 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 24/11/2024Let’s hope that Bluesky keeps up with quality over quantity. The perception and manipulation in the major platforms has long been lost in dollar vs value. 010
F|S @findingshadows.com · 24/11/2024So funny seeing this here after just watching a great Q&A with him today I posted. His story is great and the things and people that influenced him are a great. 000
F|S @findingshadows.com · 24/11/2024A very inspirational and real discussion by two legends I admire that have shaped photography in a way some may not recognize. A perspective led by Gregory Crewdson with Stephen Shore , that really dig into history and the mind of Stephen Shore www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXpQ... #photography #lectureyoutube.comQ&A with Stephen Shore and Gregory CrewdsonYouTube video by Yale MFA Photography 020
