i posted an epiphany i had about why i hate AI so much on fedi and i wanna post it here but it won't fit and i don't wanna cut it down to size so fuckit i'm just posting a screenshot

OH. right! i get it now!

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

saw a post saying we should check our game tags for players assigning them with adult tags, since those pages are getting hidden in zones with id verification requirements. went to check them on my game and it said THAT I HAD tagged my own game with Nudity!? never have i ever, wtf steam?

i'm down a rabbit hole of an obscure Aus Post request for a rural property. and the process is getting so esoteric. at this point i have to write a letter and mail it to a secret address they've given me that's not open to the public. i'm hoping it's where the mail witches live.

i've been a reddit moderator for a popular music production subreddit for many years. we've cultivated a very lenient vibe there for self promotion because of course! the rise of selling gen ai apps is making this really hard. the scrutiny has to be turned way up and i'm grumpy.

I was gonna wait til I actually finished it to write a glowing review and recommendation, but as much as I've played so far even if the ending is not satisfying, it has sparked good discussions with my irl peeps about everything from "huh I wonder why capitalism simulator has an alcoholism stat?"

Walking home just now and a mob of kangaroos were crossing the road ahead. I've noticed that one will wait at the side of the road and look in the direction that cars would come from until everyone has crossed, then they follow at the end. Neat behavior.

Since releasing Just Shop Mode I've had this itch to make its opposite, where nothing you do in the shop generates income, and you have to rely on creatively exploiting the external game world to make money. I'd call it Final Profit: A ---- RPG

the other day i had to help my nephew untangle an xbox360 controller cable, to which he remarked "i don't know how to do that, i'm only used to wireless controllers" i don't have anything too poignant to say about it, but it buried into my mind. here's some keywords instead. time, aging, teaching.

i find this line of thought is common in negative reviews. i think it's something of an achievement to make a game where players are having so much fun that when they run out of things to do the reaction is this visceral. but also, dang this species suffers hard from recency bias.

not this one. about as far from it as possible with development happening in near total isolation during lockdown. scraped by on savings and had to launch when that was depleted.

Paradise Killer | Gnosia | Sultan's Game

RPG Maker forums are closing, nearly 15 years of knowledge and online culture are at risk of being wiped

Gotcha Gotcha Games is launching a new forum, which is good, but says it won't archive the old one, which is very bad.
