Something AI is responsible for that doesn't get enough talk: How, when it scrapes a website to illegally steal everything on it, it uses up a ton of its bandwidth allotment, crashing it or racking up massive fees for site owners.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

dev tangent. I recently banned posts for apps that used ai in the ipadmusic subreddit, so I've had to become quite the sleuth. There was a particularly funny case where I couldn't find proof but suspected, until I found their github and there were commits like "scrubbed last traces of LLM" lolllll

The way they use it in the intro as she falls from the sky is very good in the dub. It's a bit of a mixed bag for me though, sometimes I like the additions and sometimes I prefer the original silence.
