It had been decades since I watched ELEPHANT MAN. ERASERHEAD + ELEPHANT MAN was Lynch’s career and everything we got afterwards was simply icing on the cake.

America's addiction to confident stupidity has hit new lows under Trump. Science, education, and truth are under attack while ignorance and rage are celebrated. 1/2

This cover story in today’s NYT says no one wants old and used dishes. I work for a gay-owned, debt-free company raking in over $90 million a year in sales that says otherwise.

One Set of China. Five Generations.

A family’s set of dishes has passed through five generations of women, but will the teacups, plates and bowls make it to a sixth?

Joe Burrow just spent $3 million on a Dark Knight Batmobile. If I were going to spend that much on a Batmobile, I would want one from the 1966 Adam West show. I just think it’s cool that Batman creator Bob Kane designed the one-dollar bill, which is why the E and the D are Batman and the Batmobile.

My lap right now. The dogs had some fried chicken with their lunch and Ripley is absolutely crashed out on me, while I sit poolside reading and listening to reggae. What a beautiful Sunday.

“First Blood” takes place in a completely different universe from the Rambo films. Andrew Laszlo’s cinematography gives the entire enterprise a solemn gravitas. One of Stallone’s best performances - mostly dialogue-free, channeling Clint Eastwood’s “man with no name” persona. It still holds up.
