There's a global fascist resurgence gaining power in multiple countries, using billions to buy up the media, and people are crying out for their liberal representatives to do anything more than the bare minimum about it. Instead, they bitch and moan like this and call everyone ungrateful.

We had several rescues back in the day, but it’s only Dinah now. I’m sure she’d love a friend. She’s lived with another female before and was fine. She flirts with feral men sometimes through the cage.

Dinah is a sweet bird. We rescued her in 2021. We have an outdoor aviary with perches and a house with four separate nest boxes (not that we encourage babies!). It’s 8ft x 4ft, so there is room to fly about inside. I’m checking to see if I have a photo for you.

I’ve not listened to doves, but I have passively listened to countless hours of cooing pigeons on YouTube. When we rescued pigeons, I’d leave my lap top open so the birds could watch and listen to familiar sounds. Not sure if it helped, but it was lovely to listen to.

Doves are cool, as are pigeons. We have a flock who hang out on our roof during the day. I miss seeing cardinals. If I had to pick a favourite bird, it’s probably them. The few times I’ve been back in the US, I didn’t see any.

Love puffins! We went up north on a family holiday to see them many years ago. I’ll never forget being surprised how tiny they are. My daughter feeds a group of corvids. It‘s great when they bring their babies. Do you get jays there? I’ve seen them in Germany, but never here in Scotland.
