Visited my folks, brought my yarn project, due by end of Oct. Left deadline yarn project at their place, 4hrs away. Oops. Guess I’m going to visit again next weekend to rescue the yarn, darn. Cross stitch in the meantime, yay! 🎉🎊🪡

I mean, Picarto still happens, though it isn’t as big and booming as Twitch. Probably won’t generate any direct revenue though.

I was raised to give the 2-week notice, but I’ve always kept my managers alerted at least a month in advance… One job that I gave a 4-month notice, well, HR actually deleted me from access system 2 months early, soooo Not always totally helpful to give them a huge notice window.

I have 2 coworkers who have babies expected this winter, which helps us hire new ppl in time to cover their absence. (And the voluntary possibility of not returning to the office after their leave stops)

If only maternity leave could be such a surprise XD

Kinda crazy idea, but have you searched online for any knit or crochet wasp nests? The idea is, someone makes one, you order/receive it, and you hang it up near your window outside. Wasps will leave, expecting competition to be coming out of your fancier wasp nest.

One of the quiet bright moments of lockdown was Sam Neill serenading us on the ukulele. This type of tenderness feels rare nowadays, how lucky we were. Thank you for everything. ❤️❤️❤️

You thought you had a choice in this?

Fiddle bunny fursuit, in a contrasting red & blue light, to cause a menacing effect. Black background.

Banks still get them, drop by any to ask if they have one on hand you can check. The design hasn’t changed much over the years.

Do you have a MicroCenter near you? I personally use super cheap headphones (G733 from Logitech), but if you can find any of the SteelSeries in your price range, they are amazing. Full recommend you visit a store that lets you try them on first. I know my head fits different than some folks.

If I can give a recommendation for rope bondage/bondage angles in general… Grab a plushie from your collection or the store. Get a couple yards of paracord from your fav hardware store. Try it in front of you, then draw it! Some people know it, some guess, and folks who know really know.

Honestly, as long as the end product looks like the pattern example shows, you rock your own style of needles & yarn holding!!!

Honorable Mention, Chronicle - not really horror, but certainly thought-provoking… you follow 3 teens when they find an alien artifact and gain powers (released same month as Super 8, but a lot more morally ambiguous), to their delight and grief.

So some others include: The Bay - footage of Parasite victims that gets eerie the longer you watch. Body horror warning. We’re Going to the World’s Fair - simple but effective. Webcam adventures of a girl and a internet creepy pasta

Your art is amazing—I’ve worn one of your necklaces (the long hare) for years and it’s my favorite accessory for any setting. If you return to design & creation, we will be here to celebrate and adore. If not, we still hold you in happy memory and fond appreciation. Please take care of yourself!

Mona Lisa Smile is meant to be a ladies version of this film, though some differences are obvious when you watch it. Give that one a try and see what you think!

Recommendation for you to try: Sherlock, from Everett Kaser. I grew up playing these picture logic puzzles as a kid, still entertaining and the music is a lovely classical mix from the 90s. www.kaser.com/top.php

Mononoke is very strange, but there’s a ghastly beauty to it too. Took a few episodes to understand what was going on, Hope you like it!

You would probably get the best cost by going to your local store with fishing supplies. Sulky isn’t bad, but it may cost a bit more and as it’s still a fiber, could catch on your linen.

You can do it!! Are you aiming to use a floss thread to mark, or trying something like redline / fishing line? (I’ve been using the redline, it’s super handy)

SAL: Life at the cottage by @needlelotdesigns.bsky.social and SAL: Oceans by climbinggoats

Cross stitch of a fruit tree. Other colors are on bobbins, and magnet cord holds are holding the fabric in place.

I also strongly recommend “Firebringer” furry adjacent, low fantasy, no human technology to worry about. (Warning, cis-male author) It’s all deer. Like Watership Down, Redwall, but deer. Better than Bambi. M/F, animal instincts & life cycles, mystery, intrigue, battles, loyalty vs tradition
