Correct, and the amount of money they make is almost entirely divorced from the revenue they take in from people who actually watch the product at this point, and those that have stuck around will do so under any circumstances. This show probably made considerable more money than last year's.

You know what? Maybe it is giving up. I prefer to look at it as "accepting reality" but potato/potahto... I want to see women features more in prominent positions. I don't think we're ever gonna get that by lobbying for equal time on a show with a predominantly male roster...

You're not wrong. But RJ City has had heavy influence in women's angles in the past so he's shown he's capable of collaboration or, in the Tony/May case, handing over the reigns completely. I feel like if there's anywhere he could be convinced to do that it would be the women's division.

I think the idea of "The women get and hour and the men get an hour every show" would be great if it had any chance of ever happening, ever. But it's very clear that for whatever reason, that will not be the case. So we can either hope for a thing we'll never get, or try to focus on..

That's why you don't have Tony book it! Hire a separate writing team dedicated towards the show comprised mostly of women who will give them the attention they deserve and not just treat them as an afterthought.

It doesn't need to be a hard wall. But AEW is not a "Mixed gender" promotion for the most part. It is a promotion with separate men's and women's divisions. If you want those divisions to be featured equally, the best way to do that is to give them each their own shows crafted to those divisions.

With the women. All of that. I think that when you have a women's product as strong as AEW you should be marketing it TOWARDS women and not just jamming it into the guys' packaging. There's nothing that says you can't have women on the "men's" show and men on the "women's" show at times...

I don't think giving them their own show is "moving them to an island" personally. I think it's showing that the women can support their own show and audience. I also think that women's wrestling should have its own style of presentation, marketing, different announce teams more familiar...

This is something that my community has argued with forever. I'm very much on the side of a dedicated show for the women. You can't say "The women are as important as the men" in one breath & then follow it up with "The women need to be on the same show as the men or no one will watch" in the other
