You will never create your truest #art if your focus is on the approval of others

Well, while looking at my phone I just reached for a candy, except instead of the candy dish I put my hand into my drink. How is everyone else’s day going? #amwriting #writerlife

Gyms need to rethink how to advertise to introverts. Showing me videos of an absolutely packed gym is not having your intended impact on my desire to leave the house.

I’m currently reading Chaldean Account of Genesis by George Smith. Does anyone know any archeology #books with a similar level of cultural importance that I could read next? #history #archeology #culture

Gattaca is a fun movie because you have either seen it or you haven’t. And sure, that’s true of all movies, but with most movies it can be difficult to tell whether or not someone has seen it without asking.

#art of the day This is from my Raining Colors series, but this particular artwork was intended as a tribute to Akira Toriyama after he passed - the drips use the classic colors of his famed character Goku from Dragon Ball Z. #abstractart

The background of the artwork features clouds and the foreground features drips of paint using the colors of the character Goku from the Dragon Ball Z anime. The artwork was created as a tribute to DBZ creator Akira Toriyama when he passed away.

This photo depicts the decaying remains of a ship that brought refugees from North Africa to Europe. At the time, the ship was on display in front of a refugee camp in Sicily but was removed during the pandemic when the camp replaced African refugees with Ukrainian refugees. #photography #potd

I block people who reply to headlines without reading the article. Also, editors need to avoid clickbait headlines and tell us what the article is actually about. There, I made everyone mad. Have a day. Follow for more hot takes (but mostly #photography #art and #writing). For your time:

An abstract artwork from my Connections series containing freehand rectangles of varying sizes in red, orange, and yellow with each color draw with a single line.

Thanks so much to @inkythoughts.bsky.social for posting this writing share! I was really happy to get some feedback on my writing from the community 😊

Did you know that Agrigento is Italy’s cultural capital for 2025? One the top reasons is the presence of incredible historical sites like Valle dei Templi. #photography #photographer #lightroomedits #blackandwhite

Here’s some short #fiction for y’all. I posted part one of my #SciFi #Fantasy story “Being Human” on Taggr. By the way, I wrote this in college about 25 years ago, so no, I’m not just jumping on the dystopian #AI bandwagon 😜 Link: taggr.network/post/494738 Feedback welcome! #AmWriting
