My kids (8 and 5) have acquired and already nearly exhausted an entire tub of air dry clay in a frenzy of preparation for a sprawling future battle: I give you my 8yo's Cat Head Attack Ship, piloted by "babies" whose species was not made clear to me
An air clay sculpture made by an 8 year old boy of a wedge-shaped spaceship with two hollows in it: the first is occupied by two round blobs with eyes, the second (larger) one featuring a fantastically adorable cat head

BACKROOMS (2026)
A room made of Legos with entirely too many doors and windows seemingly placed randomly throughout its walls, with a pile of half-finished brick constructs in the middle, eerily reminiscent of the environment encountered in a certain movie

This is the year I give trilobites racing stripes because nobody can prove they didn't have 'em
Two ceramic sculptures of trilobites, glazed gloss black with a pair of racing stripes in red + orange and yellow + orange running down their sides; the stripes are admittedly not as bold as they should be, which just means I need to use more underglaze next time

"The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go…" This is either going to be spectacular or disastrous depending on whether I'm Bruce or Thomas Wayne in this scenario now that I'm a dad and all
The #1 movie in 1989 was the first Michael Keaton BATMAN, notoriously a story about a crimefighting billionaire whose parents are cruelly gunned down before his very eyes, which is perhaps a worrisome omen for me personally since I'm a dad now

There's a whole subgenre of illustrations from medieval manuscripts that feature heavily-armed bunnies just going buckwild, I think because then (as now) the concept of a usually harmless animal with a melee weapon is hilarious. I thought it was time to start making some, and it turns out they're even better in 3D form; this one is wielding a war hammer and a circular purple shieldThere's a whole subgenre of illustrations from medieval manuscripts that feature heavily-armed bunnies just going buckwild, I think because then (as now) the concept of a usually harmless animal with a melee weapon is hilarious. I thought it was time to start making some, and it turns out they're even better in 3D form; at the suggestion of my 8-year-old I've begun furnishing some of them with magical weaponry, in this case a sword made of blue energy and a conventional round black shieldThis is just a perfectly normal mushroom, a fine example of the classic Amanita muscaria featuring a red cap and white dots that do not in any way bear resemblance to an assemblage of unblinking light blue eyeballs

In the realm of the purely theoretical, there must be some level of psychic pain that would actually cause Elon to consider his life not worth continuing, but what is it? Is it even possible to achieve? How would you or anyone go about attempting to inflict it??
Do we think Pinhead might know the level of emotional anguish required to cause Elon to consider suicide and what might be needed to inflict it, or is just physical pain more this guy's deal? I never saw Hellraiser

I MADE TOO MANY LITTLE GUYS AND I NEED YOU TO TAKE THEM OFF MY HANDS THE DISCOUNT IS *INSANE* TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING NOW WHY NOT www.etsy.com/shop/Forecas...
Medieval manuscripts sometimes feature drawings of bunnies armed with melee weapons out to start some shit; here we have a fully-fired ceramic sculpture of just such a bunny, ready to stand guard in your home or gardenThe best I can do here is tell you that this is a sculpture based on a literal medieval doodle of a sort of lizard-like animal that has two legs and a hand where its head should be; the hand grasps the haft of an axe as if ready to strike a blowThis is a ceramic sculpture of a black cat with a cute pink nose and triangular ears and perhaps a few too many eyes on its headWhat we have here is a ceramic sculpture of a tardigrade finished in a combination of three different colors of underglaze (a purple and two shades of blue) that have swirled and dappled together without mixing, a pleasing visual effect overall

Why does everybody in the Hayes Valley have this exact dog now, do you get issued one when you move there or something? We saw a half dozen of these walk past us during the dinner hour last night, all the same color even, what's going on

Mission accomplished?? Behold the debut of indoor/outdoor all-weather ceramic version of Kleya Marki With A Gun* suitable for installation in garden, potted plant, or wherever else I think she should end up * (Claya)
A small ceramic statue made by a hobbyist sculptor (me) in the shape of Kleya Marki from Andor holding a gun. The relative crudeness of the likeness might make it less of a statue and more of a totem or *invocation* even, but hopefully an observer would be able to put it together once they'd been told who it's based on; the hair and the outfit are distinctive and reasonably faithfully rendered. It's time for innocuous conspiracy theories; mine is that the sparkle pumpkin emoji kitchen combo is being intentionally deprecated because 🎃 + ✨ doesn't give it to me anymore. What's going on out there? Who's afraid of the sparkle pumpkin? Who benefits from its suppression? Follow the money.
Behold the sparkle pumpkin, one of the best creations of the Android Emoji Kitchen (at least in the eyes of a person who uses the pumpkin emoji almost constantly and has taken great delight in discovering the many possible combinations that result from its use), a combination I used to be able to invoke with 🎃 + ✨ and now have to brute-force search in order to uncover. What's happening? What enemies has the sparkle pumpkin made? We may never know.

All right let's really test the usefulness of Bluesky as a platform: can someone tell me where to go in the El Cerrito/Berkeley/Richmond area for The Good Mandu? - Deep fried - Tasty - Doesn't look like the prepackaged kind See attached visual aid
A photo collage illustrating the kind of mandu I'm after: principal differences are that the kind I want are deep-fried, not pan-fried, and are clearly handmade instead of looking like something I would get from a grocery store freezer section -- NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THOSE, it's just not what I picture when I think about The Good Mandu, okay

A circle of text surrounding a vintage-looking illustration of a rabbit in a dapper olde-tymey jacket of some sort; under one arm he clutches what appears to be a medieval war pick, a truly vicious-looking melee weapon; the text surrounding the rabbit reads "Violence for violence is the rule of beasts"

The rumors are true: SHADOW OF THE SKELETON II: WEB OF THE SPIDER has been REMOVED from theatres BY OVERWHELMING AUDIENCE DEMAND for being TOO SCARY 🕸️💀🕸️
Behold once again a doorway illuminated by the sun and yet haunted by the literal shadow of a dancing skeleton decoration falling across it so perfectly it seems to have been somehow orchestrated deliberately (it wasn't), augmented by the shadow of a big fake spiderweb crisscrossing it as if to suggest the skeleton is either hanging the spiderweb or has somehow been caught in it -- interpretation is left to the viewer

WHAT I SAY: I'm fine

WHAT I MEAN: In the Cars universe there are cars and planes. Does that mean there are also submarines? The existence of Sarge, a military Jeep and WWII veteran, seemingly necessitates the existence of contemporaneous German U-boats. But if the Cars universe had a WWII, did it also have a Cold War? Are there sentient nuclear missile subs prowling the depths of the ocean, alone in the cold and the dark, their personalities warping under relentless pressure and endless solitude? Furthermore,
