Welp. I have found, in writing, the recipe wherein Brussels sprouts are to be boiled for half an hour.

Dutch recipe for Sprouts with Chestnuts. Not transcribing the whole thing but essentially the chestnuts are boiled for ¾ hour and then peeled, the sprouts are gently simmered separately in a little water for ½ hour, and the sprouts and chestnuts are then combined in a pan with margarine. I do not think I will be making this.

I've never really understood the argument that dicking around with the clocks one way or other is for the benefit of farmers: 1) farmers can set their own hours, 2) the work has to be done when it has to be done, dark or no dark, 3) farm equipment has lights on it these days.

Day 2: Cyclops. Unambiguously a Little Guy, and I tried moulding him around an armature this time.

This one is very definitely a Little Guy. Chonky little fellow with simple hands and feet that slightly resemble bear paws. His head is one very large cyclopean eyes with a slightly feline pupil but human lids and lashes. Also a belly button. Don't ask me why, but he needed a belly button.

I've met both of these today. Park: pointed out a squirrel to 3 Asian ladies who pulled their phones out in delight. The squirrel struck a wildlife-calendar pose on the assumption that snacks were imminent. Plant museum: told 3 American ladies admiring a dahlia where there was a whole bed of them.
