🚨Canada is about to destroy #privacy with Bill C-22 — one of the worst surveillance laws. Because there's no such thing as "lawful access" for the good guys only. We've signed an open letter against Bill C-22, please join the fight! 👉 theccf.ca/stop-governm... 👉 Open Letter: fixc22.ca

Why will lake Ontario stay Lake Ontario on maps that are based on OpenStreetMap, such as cartes.app ? Because the community introduced 🟠's names as a new attribute that doesn't replace the name:en (en=English). Map applications usually don't use this tag 😏 wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:off...

For You will be down for ~20-60 minutes - I will be upgrading my computer's ram from 96GB to 192GB. I've been hitting uncomfortably high memory usage levels (90%+) and it is time to bite the bullet. I bought an identical kit a year ago and the new kit is exactly 7x more expensive.
A new 96GB DDR5 RAM kit"glances" output with 96GB of RAM being 91% used

We don't dismiss it because we're "emotionally shallow," we dismiss it because you're contributing to the rise of misinformation as the new normal. You can find genuine stories that make your point; please do, we'd love that!

🚆 One journey. One ticket. Full rights. Travelling by train across Europe can still be complicated, especially across borders and multiple providers. We want to change that. Our new package will make it easier ⬇️
The image features a digital train ticket overlaying a photo of the Mediterranean coast. The ticket is a blue rounded rectangle containing a QR code with the European Union flag at its center, labeled "Ticket details." Below, it specifies a train journey from Lisbon to Vienna, listing country codes PT, ES, FR, IT, and AT, indicating travel through Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, and Austria. At the bottom, a yellow shield icon accompanies the text "Full passenger rights apply throughout this journey," while the European Commission logo is visible in the bottom right corner of the background.

Apple and Google are gradually expanding their use of hardware-based attestation. They're convincing a growing number of services to adopt it. Google's Play Integrity API and Apple's App Attest API are very similar. Apple brought it to the web via Privacy Pass, which Google intends on doing too.
