Kind of reminds me of a that Touring After the Apocalypse show from last year. Neat premise but the cast felt too much like outdated mid-00's archetypes to ever connect with. At least shows like Train to the End of the World & Flip Flappers were weird & vibrant. None of that here.

I've mentioned despising the grubby, cynicism of zombie shows like HSotD & Zom100, that seemed to suggest the worst thing about the apocalypse is that remnants of society survived, but the friction-less bubblegum moe of I'm Looking for a Zombie, is way too hard a swerve in the opposite direction

Turns out attempting to catch up with yesterday's deluge of new seasonal shows wasn't too bad because for the most part 3-5 minutes was enough to know whether to continue. Which none were. Like if that Student Council Has Holes show was the best new thing currently out, then holy shit!

Well I can't say I've particularly loved any part of Clevatess, but it's been a perfectly enjoyable dark fantasy. Plus, the fear that this season was going to go full Magical High School/Harry Potter didn't really come to anything, as the school was mostly used as a setting rather than the focus.

And yes, having watched the new Jojo ED, it's kinda shit. You can definitely feel the tragic absence of Hiroyuki Omori on this one. I doubt he'd let the classic western music be replaced, or the visuals being typical network tv show cg template slop that's increasingly appearing on Netflix anime

Having not watched the second episode of Steel Ball Run and largely avoiding the other site, I didn't know there was a huge stink about the new ED until I saw multiple youtube videos changing the song with A Horse With No Name, The Chain etc. Kinda crazy both English & JP fandoms are pissed

Finally checked out the 45 minute Steel Ball Run premiere from earlier this year. It's great and all but it has made me realize that for all the current buzz about the adaptation, I've not heard a single word about JoJoLand since the first chapter came out 3 years ago. Literally nothing since.

Grow Up Show concluded a lot more satisfactory. It was fun but pretty safe, which about describes the series in general. Overall it retains the feel of something the anisphere of 2010 would have hyped up but would quickly forgot after ending. Which I guess is better than your Occult Academys.

And yes, for reasons the animators decided to depict Yosuke as a Junji Ito character for a full scene. They were clearly attempting something with his character, but whatever tragically camp theater persona envisioned neither coalesced into a specific whole or meshed with the wider story.
