I really wish I liked it. The game itself seems to struggle balancing things due to the open world it's set in. It actively harms the pacing and portrayal of what is a pretty decent story due to all the fluff it has.

I come here upset and disappointed at Control Resonant. Not because the story is bad or it's characters uninteresting, quite the opposite actually. It's because the open world nature of the game completely fucks the pacing, and it's activities just end up feeling like a chore with no spirit.

My thoughts so far in Control Resonant is that it's a cool sequel but if someone tells me that they dislike the change to open areas I'll nod in agreement because Manhattan isn't as cool or weird as The Oldest House. However I'm a big fan of InFamous-like games so I'm having the time of my life.

(Control Resonant) 2 hours or so playing and this game is really really fun. The combat isn't complex at all but it's so entertaining and engaging, those previews did a fucking awful job at selling it. No idea about the bosses because I only beat one and it was the "tutorial" one.
