Another reason I think I got my #autism from my mom is she never signs the cards she sends on special occasions. Nor does she write on or seal the inner envelope. In her eyes, this way the card doubles as a thoughtful gift; the recipient can sign their own name on it and send it to someone else.

I don’t get many kids so I can do this! Mini turtles and stegos from Chris Wall’s free no-sew patterns on Ravelry. They take 1/2 hour because I’m distractible 🤪 but safe for all ages if you don’t use plastic eyes.

As an autistic adult who has been in DV relationships with coercive control I attest that I could have been persuaded that this was my choice. Then I could have convinced doctors it was my own choice; due to my people pleasing, I’d believe it. I could still be persuaded. But it is not my choice.

I also live in Wisconsin and my doctor prescribed me that four years ago to help my breathing problems. Anyway it was $180/mo for a disabled person on Medicare even back then so what I do now is I just have breathing problems instead

I have no car payment because it was repossessed then the company sued me and I countersued and won because they’d been predatory to a disabled person now I walk everywhere and carry my groceries home in a backpack. Is that what they mean? I think most people wouldn’t enjoy this. Keep your payment 👍

At 4’11” I should have realized a floor length granny robe would make me look like a box on wheels. So I took it apart, hand sewed a pillow out of a Goodwill bedsheet and stuffed it with scraps before covering it with the granny squares. Yet another cat bed for Miss Greta #win-win #crochet #cats

In 2018 the IRS told me that I had not paid taxes on that money and that I still owe them $2500. By then I was trying to live on my own on $1400 a month. But I started paying $50 a month towards this tax bill. Until 2022 when I looked and realized that my debt amount had gone up to $2600.

I love when having no plan still comes together. My friend needed a baby safe gift, related to a children’s book. 10 balls of scrap yarn and a little fiberfill and some hours later we have The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
