Turns out this didn’t work 5G fails. Totally. Go back to 4G: works right away. Slightly stuck on Spark due to reason but might be looking at it OneNZ after vowing to never use them again. Or work out if 2D works at all at home.

Turns out. 5G Auto, on Auckland harbour, will constantly fail as it switches towers and bands. 10 second pings or full speed. Constantly. Line of site to towers, too. 5G On works nicely. Difference between being able to work on the ferry and not.

Whatever you do, don't smoke an entire brisket at a job interview, it's a lot of equipment to bring in, it takes a really long time to do it right and those conference rooms have notoriously poor ventilation

iPhone users…tip from me this morning if you run a pihole. When you upgrade to iOS 27, your phone will turn on “Connectivity Assist” in your WiFi network settings and all the ads will pour in. Turn it OFF and your ad blocks will work again. Gotta do it per SSID it looks like.

Fuel prices rise sharply - with 91 reaching $4.15 on this island
Kiwis are facing sharply higher pump prices, with petrol and diesel climbing by about 50 cents a litre in less than a month.

1) art is subjective and could be replaced by AI (hope not). Certainly in a lot of situ’n. I’d not pay an artist for a blog post header but I would for company branding for eg. 2) SWE still needs a somewhat skilled hand to drive it and the surrounding ecosystem. That’ll change but it’s a way off.

If New Zealand is being run like a company, it's one that has a Principal-Agent problem. We've got people acting for us, but they're acting in their self-interest at our expense. They've cobbled together an alliance based on a majority of shareholder votes by selling ideology not results. Ugh.

If voters believed the country should be run like a company, then they'd embrace their role as shareholders and get pissed off that company assets and operations (shareholder value) are being drained and degraded to enrich the board of directors (Parliament) and their supporters.
