❗Early Spring Arrival Alert❗ Bumblebees are buzzing across the UK and are crucial agricultural pollinators. To maximise their chances of survival throughout their flight season, a continuous supply of nectar is vital and can be provided by plants flowering from late March such as bluebells.

Are you keeping dry this winter? Wet weather is not only an iconic characteristic of Great Britain but is great for survival and reproduction in Grey Field Slugs. Hatchlings can cause significant damage to crops but can be managed by preserving their natural enemy habitat.

Red admirals can hang around until as late as Nov - some will even remain for the winter. In Sept they are still happily on the wing. Hedgerow & fallen fruit is a great source of food during the autumn. Leaving ivy to flower also provides a good source of nectar when little else is flowering 📷RSPB
