🧵6/N Setting Healthy Boundaries with Consequences. This is not punishment. Stop covering up, and let things happen. This gives the person an opportunity to learn from mistakes. It’s the only way people learn. If there are safety concerns, practice Harm Reduction to keep a person safe.

🧵5/N Improved communication. Instead of interrogating, ask questions to understand their motivation. Use "I statements" instead of "You statements". Instead of "You have to obey the house rules!", try saying, "I feel so upset and scared when you don't come home." Feel the difference?
