Basic was the only one that individuals could apply for. This year they added Enhanced - but only if we are working in a role which meets the higher eligibility. So Basic is the only one available for you candidates. (I'd recommend using the gov.uk portal to avoid 3rd party fees)

Just to clarify as the UK system is a bit odd, there is protective legislation that prevents employers requiring applicants having a higher level of DBS than their role requires. So we have Basic Standard Enhanced and Enchanced with Barring List

Vetting is very important and it's good to be proactive but the enhanced DBS check isn't available for everyone in the UK, only for specific job roles. I think only the basic DBS would be something people can apply for themselves in this context.

I do the opposite - make a backup, then try to make everything fresh with the backup as a reference and end up bringing back things I didn't like or making duplicates. I think fresh starts can be good 😅 (although you have reminded me I need to fix some audio settings still!)

I know I only have like 5 followers here and you're probably all american, but this is a free way to help fund my community cleanups - specifically graffiti removal and it is FREE and that's good because it all comes out of my pocket usually.
