turned 19 yesterday. picked up a Canon 55-210mm RF-S lens and a 50mm f/1.8 RF lens (so 80mm on my camera)! I'm excited to be able to shoot a bit with them, it's going to be nice having a fairly wide aperture.

thank y'all for being so cool 💚️ 💫️

from ari:

@ari melody LIVE, WHOOPS i completely forgot to update y'all today, sorry!!

yeah, so looks like i might have burned the candle a little too short. i'm gonna be taking an impromptu break from streaming until further notice. it could be for this week, it could be longer. i'm gonna be taking that time to take a breather first and foremost, but then i need to start addressing some other ari melody-adjacent projects i've been very seriously neglecting (anyone noticed how i've not talked about album 2 in a while?)

thank y'all so, so much for the support you've given me so far, it's left me feeling incredibly empowered to keep doing this kind of work knowing that there's an extremely generous crowd of folks here who tune in each week. you are not at all obligated to keep your twitch subs going while i'm gone, though i may be looking into Another Way you can support me which gives you a better look into what else i'm working on. ears peeled, i guess! ;p

so uh, yeah! that's all. thanks again :ariLove: 💚 💫

English entry for "can't park there, mate" on Wiktionary. The page reads as following:

Phrase
1. (originally UK, humorous) A banterous phrase often uttered when coming across a crashed, broken-down, stuck, wheel-clamped, or otherwise immobilised vehicle, especially when said vehicle is in an unusual position.

Usage notes: Said with the tongue-in-cheek implication that the owner of the vehicle is able to, and should, move it. Mate can be replaced with a different form of address, such as sir.

A major UK interconnector project had to be redirected after a public outcry that it would go straight through the 'grave' of Dobby, a fictional elf from the Harry Potter books, it has been revealed.
The interconnector in question was Greenlink, a 504MW link between the Irish and British electricity networks that went live last year. The link runs from the north of Wales to the north of Dublin, enabling wind and solar power to be sent across the Irish Sea as needed.
