#TheArchers Having spent the latter part of their lives handling dirty breakfast plates and laundering strangers' manky bedding, do Lynda & Robert intend to spend their twilight years picking up dog shite, or will they be employing someone for that?

#TheArchers There's still time for a "Murder She Sniffed" spinoff. The beloved Ambridge stalwart Lynda Snell MBE tours picturesque villages across the UK and beyond, troubleshooting pantos, fêtes, flower & produce shows, and hotel receptions, solving murders as she goes.
An image of Lynda Snell dressed as Agatha Christie, sitting in a quaint tearoom with her llama sidekick Barrington. She is holding a teapot talking to a vicar. Caption: "More tea, vicar? I'm glad your severe scone allergy has suddenly cleared up."

#TheArchers Though to be fair, it can be difficult for Dads to know how they can help at this stage. That said, buggering off to Darrington on a job with no notice, without checking Amber has her mobile, and leaving his Nana to do the shopping is very George.

"Papacy" has already been taken by the office; "pontificate" has been taken by their term of office; and I wouldn't be able to hear "popery" without thinking of Ian Paisley. Internet suggests "psalter" or "conciliation". Given they hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven, maybe "caretaker"?

#TheArchers In a terrible mix-up that lands Alan in the bishop's bad books, the music for Carol's funeral consists of Silk Chiffon and Pink Pony Club; while at the wedding Pip goes up in a blaze to Fire Leap from "The Wicker Man". Somewhat surprisingly, the respective congregations approve.

Very true. And it's true what they say about time appearing to slow down so that you can take in more of what's important. One thing the video taught me that went against instincts though is to not always pay most attention to those making the most noise.

I was once first on the scene of a road traffic accident that later resulted in a fatality. I'd seen an educational video years before on what to do, and its lessons immediately kicked in. I don't think I would've panicked without it, but it was a huge help. Huge respect for the emergency services

The RNLI is the closest you will ever get to actual Batman. When rescue is visibly, viscerally, obviously impossible; when the water is a smothering, thundering black wall and the wind is screaming straight from Hell; when you are absolutely going to die: someone’s hand pulls you out and you don’t.

Help us keep St Thomas Food Fight going!
Post by Claire Elizabeth Hadfield:

❤️ HELP US KEEP ST THOMAS FOOD FIGHT GOING ❤️
For 10 years, a small group of volunteers has been running a free food table in St Thomas every Sunday, 11:30am–12:30pm. You can find us opposite the Post Office on Cowick Street.

It's becoming obvious that our food table is needed now more than ever. As the cost of living continues to bite, more people are finding themselves needing a little extra help to get through the week.
