on the left is akane with her original skin tone and new shadows. on the right is her new skin tone but her old shadows. in both of these her skin looks more brown, and i honestly might not even bat an eye but do both and we got a problem (2/2)

i think its interesting how akane wasnt necessarily made THAT much darker, but the use of red tones and the desaturation of the shadows gives the impression of less vibrant brown skin. the whitewashing tech here is advanced (1/2) #danganronpa
