Teachers may not have caused the lack of public trust in science (not the only institution we've lost faith in) but unless we do a better job teaching kids to interpret scientific information to make good decisions, the problem will get worse not better. Nice read from @evophd.bsky.social #edusky

When political ideology interferes with scientific research, American innovation and progress crumbles. A paper on evolution that was planned for a special edition of a Royal Society journal was withdrawn after authors feared potential political retaliation could lead to deportation. #ScienceSky
