The year is 75% over. Goal is to finish at least 8 of these 10 games before January 1st. I can do this. Time to lock in.

GOT ‘IM #RollCredits on Mega Man 10 Above-average Mega Man bosses and stages, with an OUTSTANDING chiptune OST. Excellent bonus features as well. I found the difficulty puzzling? Robot Master stages are among the series’ toughest, but the Wily Stages are on the easier side. Weird. But good!

What I'm playing: -Xenoblade Chronicles II -Mega Man 10 What's on deck: -Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse -God of War (2018) -Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D I’d really like to finish XBC2 by Castlevania Day, which is October 15th. I’m currently in chapter 7. Mega Man 10 is very good! Six bosses in.

GOT ‘IM #RollCredits on Mega Man 9. Excellent boss, stage, and weapon designs. Great music. Only minor quibbles like “I wish Mega Man had a charged shot” and “this game is really fucking hard sometimes.” First time clearing this one! Around 15 years ago I got to the endgame and gave up lol.

Close one at bar trivia last night. We were top three basically the whole game, but ended up finishing in second place by one point. A few of our misses included Love Island USA host Ariana Madix, Salem witch trials victim John Proctor, and Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Carlton Fisk.

I enjoyed watching My-Th so much Friday night that I went and watched a few episodes of shows I never finished. -Gavv is really, really good. I don't know why I stopped watching. -Gotchard is OK, but focuses too much on the silly Pokémon creatures. - Zeztz is confusing early on, but stylish AF.

Rough night at trivia yesterday. We had a good first half and an abysmal second, I think finishing around 7th or 8th. A few of our blunders concerned actors in the Indiana Jones films, winners at the 2025 Country Music Awards, and the local geography of Pakistan.

Some comics thoughts: -every Absolute Universe book is pretty good at worst, sensational at best. I am in disbelief in how great they are. -Fraction’s Batman is awesome. Bombral’s Batgirl is solid. -Superman comics are on their best run since PKJ WarWorld. DC Comics is KILLING IT in 2026.

Close finish at trivia last night. We were in 1st the whole game, ended tied at the top with another team, lost a tricky tiebreaker, and finished 2nd. A few missteps that could’ve got us the win were the bibliography of Ira Levin, the geography of Alabama, and the discography of Chris Stapleton.
